~ The Company History ~
The Peaks Pet Nanny, LLC was established in 2004,
When the owner, Gina Brugna, personally experienced the stress & heart break of leaving her dog, Duncan,
home alone while working long hours for Corporate America...which involved late meetings and daily traffic jams on Rt. 80.
Meanwhile Duncan waited patiently to be taken outside and was in need of company & attention.
The Peaks Pet Nanny was established in response to the lack of easy to find, high quality, professional pet care.

| Gina Brugna resides in "The Peaks" in Lake Hopatcong, NJ with her husband, Patric and their baby boy, James. She has owned & loved dogs, cats, birds, rabbits & fish; and truly enjoys working with animals! Gina earned her B.A. in Business Communications from Rowan University and worked in Corporate America for a decade, yet volunteered personal time to animal shelters, fund raising and caring for her own furry best friends. Gina also instructs at Middlesex County College in Edison NJ on the basics of starting a pet sitting business. The classes cover the following topics: Business Start Up, Management & Operations and Animal Care and Health. Students who comlete all three classes earn a Pet Sitting Certificate from the school and are on their way to launching pet sitting businesses in the Edison area. Sadly, Duncan passed away October 2007. Her dedication to his memory and passion to help all furry friends and their "people" lives thru The Peaks Pet Nanny. |

Renee has always loved being around animals. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications & Marketing from The College of New Jersey, she spent 3 years working in Corporate America... However, she felt unfulfilled with this lifestyle and decided she needed a change. After Gina started The Peaks Pet Nanny LLC, Renee determined that was the move she needed to make...to spend her time not only with animals, but also making a difference in family's lives by lovingly taking care of their furry family members. She has found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences of her life! Renee lives in Dover with her husband, Jimmy, their newborn daughter, Gracelynn, their kitten - Daisy and their girls Sandy and Cassidy... both adopted from foster homes. Renee cares for our furry clients in Dover, Wharton, Mine Hill, Randolph and Roxbury areas. |

| Leslie joined The Peaks Pet Nanny’s team as a Professional Pet Nanny. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and recently "retired" from the legal field after 22 years. Having been born and raised in the farmlands of New Jersey, working as a guard dog handler throughout college and after hundreds of volunteer hours at local animal shelters, it’s no wonder she pursued a second career in animals. Leslie is also a professional "positive" dog trainer & owner of It’s Your Dog, LLC. For information regarding private and group classes, please visit: www.itsyourdog.com |

![]() | Stefanie graduated from Boston College and joined The Peaks Pet Nanny after deciding to take classes towards her graduate degree in the health-care field. When she's not in class, Stefanie loves the idea of brightening a pet's day when their owners can't be home! Because her parents moved to Massachusetts, she doesn't get to see her family dogs on a regular basis anymore -- Buddy, her sweet Golden Lab; and Bella, her spunky Amstaff. Being a natural animal lover (who misses her "babies"!), she finds pet-sitting to be rewarding, enjoyable, and an ideal way to spend her time. Stefanie is a long-time resident of Morristown NJ currently serving the Morristown, Morris Plains and Madison area. |

Ali earned her Bachelors & Masters Degrees in Environmental Studies in the hopes of pursuing conservation of endangered species. Her love of animals came at a young age... the bond she felt with her own pets also inspired to start rescuing animals at the age of 11. Ali has been a vegetarian for over 16 years and also involved with several animal welfare and animal rights movements. She also volunteers as an animal transporter - driving animals from various pounds to no-kill shelters or to foster homes where dogs & cats are given a second chance through adoption. Ali has also worked in academia and as dog groomer and kennel worker while pursuing her degrees. While pursuing her second Masters Degree, Ali has found balance once again caring for "fur babies" as a Pet Nanny! She is excited to have the opportunity to work in the animal care field again and provide loving care to her furry clients. Ali lives in Dover with her family - including her dogs, cats, ferrets and fish! |

Nadine graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Special Education. After a challenging few years of teaching, she decided to become a pet nanny because being around animals really soothes her soul. Nadine owns a 12 year old Beagle, Sandee who is the love of her life! Just recently they became certified as a pet therapy team through St. Hubert's and have begun visiting elderly care facilities which they both find fulfilling. Nadine is also currently enrolled in an Animal Behavior College working towards a certification in Dog Training. In addition to Sandee and her pet hamster, Nadine has grown up with bunnies, fish, gerbils, mice, hermit crabs and loves and respects all animals...big or small. Nadine is thrilled that there are so many people who only want the best for their animals when they are not home which is why she joined The Peaks Pet Nanny and looks forward to caring for her new furry friends in the Denville area!

Cathy resides in Hopatcong, NJ with her adopted "fur children", Zelda and Oreo. Cathy presently works full-time as an Administrative Assistant for Corporate America, but much rather prefers to spend her time as a Peaks pet nanny. This part-time basis allows Cathy to care for our client's kitties in Hopatcong and the surrounding areas. When Cathy isn't pet sitting, she also volunteers her heart and time caring for animals living in various shelters until they have found their "forever homes" with a loving family. Cathy's care and commitment to all animals shines through in many aspects of her life and we are especially grateful to have Cathy as a Peaks Pet Nanny. |

| Laura has been around pets all her life. Growing up with four other siblings, the house was always a home to many pets including cats, dogs, gerbils, frogs, bunnies and ducks! No pet was ever turned away that needed a home. Currently, Laura shares her home with her husband, Gary and their son Bobby. After the loss of their beloved, Tyson, a Shepard Lab mix, they opened up their hearts and homes once again to Joey, their lovable and mushy Hound Pit mix. Joey was adopted from 11th Hour Rescue and immediately became one of the family. Joey has been by Laura's side ever since. Laura left Corporate America as an Underwriter to raise her son. Now with some free time on her hands, and in addition to selling Longaberger Baskets, Laura joined the Peaks Pet Nanny to care for furry friends. Being a Pet Nanny has given her the best of both worlds, time to be with her family and time to care for animals.

Kathleen, our newest nanny, lives in Rockaway with her husband, son and daughter. In addition, she cares for her two other "children" - a sweet Yellow Lab named Chloe and Jethro a Katrina survivor rescued from St. Huberts. Kathy and her husband currently own their own carpet cleaning business but Kathleen has handed off her duties to her husband so she can pursue a job working with animals...her true "dream job". What better job is there than helping families and keeping furry family members safe and happy? Kathleen finds it difficult to actually call this a "job" - working as a Peaks Pet Nanny. She really enjoys the "work" and the time spent with her new furry clients! Kathleen covers Rockaway, Denville, Mountain Lakes and the surrounding areas. | ![]() |
